I have been wondering and trying to work out if being an affiliate marketer is all it’s cracked up to be. I get email after email trying to get me to sign up for Affiliate marketer’s courses that tell me I can earn 5,10,20 50 even 100 Thousand dollars a month.

Is that possible? well they show the screen shots of their pay pal accounts and they show the large amounts that have been paid to them. Are these true? or are they computer made so that we can’t help our selves and sign up for their courses.

I don’t know about you but I have signed up for so many courses that were just what I needed so I can earn untold amounts of dollars and where are they? Sitting gathering dust on my hard drive, that’s where.

I know I am rambling on but and NO I haven’t tried an Affiliate Marketer’s Course but maybe you have?

Do they work? What one’s are the best?

OK you now have your Blog set up and running, you are adding content to it on a regular basis and your links are attracting customers or prospects to your list.

Now that’s a very good start but how would you like to know another way that you can monetize your blog. Thats so American…Monetize, Lets put it another way.

Would you like to know another way you can earn extra income from your blog? Did I hear you say YES Michael, OK Then just read on and find out.

How about selling space on your Blog to business owners. You can have a look at the local business yellow pages and identify business’ that have a website.

Now take a look at that website, its probably sitting in cyber space and no one knows its there. If they haven’t used key words or key phrases to get their site noticed by search engines.

So all you have to do is approach them tell them how you can get their site noticed and therefore they will get more visitors which in turn will lead to more customers and in these troubled times that has to be a good thing.

You can use a banner or box on your blog advertising their website and they will soon let you know if its working or not.

You can arrange a fee for maybe a certain period so they can test what you are offering, which will be a good idea for both parties. The reason being if they are not happy they can stop or if its working and they are getting busier you have a chance to up the price. Every one is a winner.

I don’t know about you but since I started this Internet Marketing thing I am getting inundated with email after email with offers from so called Internet Guru’s.

OK yes I did give my name and primary email when I wanted a Free Report about a certain aspect of Internet Marketing. List Building, Web Site Tutorials, Article Marketing, Blogging etc. and yes I fully understand that once they have my name I give them permission to email me from time to time with stuff that might interest me.

I didn’t expect them to email me 3/4 times a day just bombarding me with long sales letters trying to get me to buy again and again.

All these emails have achieved is to turn me off from buying. Where is the trust building? I know how I want to be treated and thats how I expect to treat anyone that signs up on to my list.

I want a List of people that I can interact with, help them with any problems they have with regards to Internet Marketing. When I say help I mean help for free. Does that sound stupid? but why not give some help for free. I know how much I appreciated when given free help. It certainly makes me trust that person and I know I will always open his emails, even if I am not interested in buying I will read the sales page and one day there will be something I need.

My quest is to help newbies, I guess I am still one myself but I am learning, I have made some mistakes, well a lot of mistakes. I have products just stored on my hard drive. At the time being new and keen about the Internet Marketing business I signed up for loads of stuff. All useless, well useless to me anyway.

The simple answer to this question is YES, YES and Yesssssss because without a List of names that are eager to buy what you have to offer then its plain as the nose on your face that owning a List is the main ingredient for earning money in the world of Internet Marketing.

The next question you are probably asking yourself is…….How do I go about getting a list.

Well you could pay for one. By that I mean Pay Per Click (PPC) but unless you are a very experienced Internet Marketer this is something I would not advise. For the simple reason that you could spend a lot of money and still not get enough product sold to cover your costs then you would get discouraged and most probably give up.

Well lets assume you have a product for a particular Niche, it could be your own or an Affiliate product that you fancy promoting. So now you have to find Free Targeted Traffic that you can send to your web site and this is an art in itself.

Article Marketing is a good start, write an article all about what you know about your product, and in the Bio Box do a link to your website or squeeze page and persuade the prospects to sign up in the Opt in Box and thats the start of your List.

The Golden Rule is Build a Relationship with your List, make them trust and like you. Do not make the mistake of setting up your auto responder to churn out offer after offer. All this will achieve is to turn them off and then you have lost them for ever.

You can then use that article in your Blog with more links to your site.

That is only one way there are many more strategies to List Building which need to be studied and implimented. It takes time and effort but the one thing I will say is Don’t ever ever give up. Keep trying and in the end it will work for you.

It all started when I was completely broke and stuck in a rut of what shall I do next to try and make some income so I can live.

One day a magazine turned up and inside was an advert about how Internet Marketing can make you a fortune. Yes how many times have you read/heard that one. Still it aroused my interest so I kept reading.

Blimey! thats for me lets go and see what more I can learn. What an eye opener that was. Have you been to one of these events? well it is unbelievable, you have a crowd well in this case approx 4,000 people with just one aim in mind. Earning money from Internet Marketing.

Boy are these Guru’s good, in fact it is quite mesmerising watching them in action, screen shots of their earnings, photo’s of their houses, cars etc. and at the end comes their pitch.

Now being completely new to this I really thought they was trying to help me, after all the whole package they had to offer was a trillion pounds but today just for YOU as a special offer for coming it will be not this not this but yes only 500 quid. You know the score, I bet you can see it all now?

I wanted to buy everything I saw thats how it gets you, and when they say the first 25 people get this and that bonus its like a stampede, UNBELIEVABLE!!

And yes I fell for it as well, the monthly package I bought was then reoffered at this event as a FAST TRACK PORTFOLIO I am embarrassed to tell you what it cost me but it was in the thousands.

What did I get, well boxes of DVD’s with MRR and PLR Licences, as I ploughed my way through them I began to realise that all I needed to know about Internet Marketing was available at a fraction of the price I paid.

So with that Knowledge and some contacts I made I started to develop a project  based on what I would need to start Internet Marketing.

Now where was I………MMM AH Yes I know, OK I signed up for this Home Study Course, what you must remember is that I knew absolutely nothing about Internet Marketing, I hope I am not being boring but I want my blog to be helpful to new Internet Marketers, so they don’t make the same mistakes as I did.

So I have this monthly course book which to be honest was about as much use as nothing, the reason being is that you needed the next month’s issue to see where you was going, very clever really, keep you interested enough but drip feed the instructions. Then I recieve a sales letter from them offering 2 seats at an Entreperneur’s Bootcamp. Now this sales letter was really long, page after page after page but, and here again the cleverness comes in, the seat costs £199 BUT Mr Reynold’s does not get this money, the cheque is made out to the Make A Wish Foundation, this charity arranges for very sick children to have a last wish a very very worthwhile cause. I was proud to make the cheque payable to them, if things didn’t work at least my money would do some good. I want to say at this point that Mr Reynolds is a very good person.

This Bootcamp was set for June 2008 Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Brighton Exhibition Centre U.K. I did not have a clue what to expect, my wife didn’t even want to come, she said ” spend 12 hrs every day in a dark hall, are you mad!” but she relented and came with me, well I did book a first class hotel so at least she had some luxury and before you say “i thought you was skint” well the Credit Card did come in handy

If anyone reading this (i wonder) has never been to one of these its quite difficult to explain the atmosphere. Try and imagine entering a hall that is set out like a theatre, a huge space set with seats at the sides seats in the front of the stage and a circle of seats above, 4,000 people!!!! thats a huge audience, and all like me…Eager and frantic for that Magic Button………………..

There I was sitting at home in my small spare bedroom/office, everything had gone bandy. My business collapsed leaving me with huge mortgages against my property, 59 years old and on the scrap heap, years of working whatever hours it took, usually 12 but most times more. I should be comfortable and retired by now but Oh No!! all I have been doing is working for the Bank. Yes I can blame the business I was in, demand did drop, big customers decided they didn’t want to buy anymore, but you know what? it was my ego that kept me getting deeper and deeper in debt. I was sure I could trade out of it, instead I should of taken advice, stopped it there and then, suffered a smaller loss, but what would I do? how would I pay all the debts, I was depressed and on the downward spiral.

Then in I think The Mail on Sunday there was a free magazine, The Entrepreneur’s Magazine, Basically it was advertising an Internet Marketer’s course by Andrew Reynolds. Well I read all the bumpf, the rags to riches story. I was the typical hungry customer, I wanted to believe everything I read, I wanted it to be ME!! I wanted that millionaire lifestyle, God I wanted it so bad, I don’t mind working, you don’t get anything in this world without working, so I signed up…………….
